H.E. Ambassador Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United States, participated in a panel discussion held by the University of Virginia as part of its Ambassador Series organized by UVA’s Center for Politics. During the discussion, H.E. emphasized the significant strategic partnership between the State of Kuwait and the United States, the deep-rooted bonds that unite the people of the two friendly countries, and the security, military, economic, and cultural ties that drive and sustain the partnership. H.E. also addressed a range of international developments, foremost among them the war in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of an urgent and immediate ceasefire, ending the illegal humanitarian blockade, and supporting the Palestinian people in establishing a free and independent Palestinian state in alignment with international law and all relevant UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions.
